What is a Guardian Home?

A Guardian home is basically a permanent home for one of our breeding girls or boys.  Yes,
there are lifers that stay with us after retirement.  They are part of our family.  With the
expansion of our breeding program, we are offering our Guardian Program to qualified
families.  This means that Guardian families get the
"pick of the litter"  puppies while we
retain the breeding rights for a specified period of time.  After the breeding period is over, up
to 3 litters for females, we will pay for spay or neuter and the dog will be the Guardian
family's forever pet.   We believe that all
dogs deserve to be part of their own family and never
We want our dogs to have the best and in turn our customers will have a happy, healthy and
well socialized puppy.  We have a unique relationship with each of our Guardian families.
We want to share these wonderful dogs with you!  Our Guardian families are wonderful
people with huge hearts!

Is there a cost for a Guardian Home?

We ask that Guardian families pay only the deposit price.  When the Guardian puppy/dog
has completed its breeding career for us, we will refund the entire deposit back to our
Guardian Family as a way of saying "Thank you".  When the breeding contract is fulfilled, we
will pay for spay or neuter and Guardian families will keep their
Cockapoo or Goldendoodle
as their forever pet!

Guardian families will be responsible for the usual cost of the daily care, annual well visits
and maintenance of their pet.  This includes worming, flea/tick prevention, quality food, etc.
It is a given that you would also provide the love, care and consideration that would be given
any pet dog in your ownership.

What's good about being a Guardian Family?

Your family will be receiving a pick of the litter puppy/dog chosen by the breeder at a very
low initial cost to be refunded upon completion of the
dogs breeding career.

Guardian families can schedule trips during breedings/whelpings without worry or cost of
kenneling their pets.

Puppies/dogs in Guardian homes have shorter breeding careers and live a pampered life
with their  forever families.

If the Guardian family decides to adopt another puppy from us, they get  the second puppy at
1/2 price if pet and free if it is to be used as another breeder for us.

The guardian family is given a thank you bonus of $500 whenever the female has to be left
with the breeder to whelp
puppies.

The Guardian Family becomes part of sharing the steps of breeding, watching their dog's
puppies grow and being placed in loving forever homes.

Males stay with their Guardian families and are only brought to us to fulfill their "fatherly
duty"

What are the requirements to become a Guardian Family?

You must be willing to feed premium quality food and follow our recommendations for the
dogs basic health care, veterinarian care, such as maintaining vaccine schedules.

The primary care giver must not have a schedule that will cause the dog to be left home alone
for long periods of time on a regular basis.

No other intact dogs should ever be on the premises to prevent unwanted matings.

You must live within 2 hrs of our home for females and 1 hr for males.  We will visit your
home.  We ask that you bring your puppy to visit us so that she/she is comfortable with us
during her stays while whelping and weaning her
puppies.

Must have a fenced in yard and own your own home.  An invisible fence is suitable for males.
Females must have a physical fence.

Females must be brought back to us for breeding and then brought back to us 1 week prior to
whelping date where she will remain with us until the puppies are weaned, approx 6 weeks.
Families are welcomed and encouraged to visit with scheduled appointments while their
Guardian Dog is at
Carriage House Cockapoos and Goldendoodles.

The puppy must be raised indoors and never left outside unattended.

When the Guardian dog is in season, the Guardian family is required to contact us
immediately so that arrangements can be made for breeding.

We ask that Guardian families keep us updated on the puppy which would include photos
every 3 months so that we may keep our website updated.

Guardian families must have reliable transportation and a willingness to bring the Guardian
dog/pup to us when needed.
